Constructive destruction! Process of making buildings damaged. Hard, as I'm finding, to get right. First go really, hopefully I'll get better.

Re: subdivideFace error
Hi thanks. You were right, tho' I found it kind of accidentally; not in such an organised way! The section that was at fault had been in the map since I started it, what happened to those few brushes to cause I don't know, but what ever I did when pasting in the building and moving things a little o...

subdivideFace error
Hi. Took out a building from the main map, tinkered with it, compiled it in a small test map; all fine. Moved it back into the main map - error. Removed some of the more complicated bits; still an error. Removed the whole building; still an error! The error is "subdivideFace: Didn't split the p...

Haha Spike, soon, maybe...
On that note, a long rambling blog on planning and organising work on my mod, which neatly and coincidently demonstrates why it's development is long and rambling: http://earthquakemod.wordpress.com/

This, in an unnecessarily complicated and poorly written way, kinda outlines what I'm doing.

Flowcharts, trees
I'm putting together a rudimentary flowchart type document to map out how the gameplay will evolve and what "events" may be conditional on others and in what order they both might happen and need to happen. Does anyone else use this, and would they be happy to share an example?

Re: CSQC - display an image
Ceriux and goldenboy; that's marvellous, thank you. GB your hud is very close, in terms of displaying an image, to what I want, except it won't need to be so complex. You're both really helpful, thank you.

CSQC - display an image
Hello! I'm at an early dipping-my-toe-in-the-water stage of CSQC awareness. I'm really haven't covered the basics of it at yet, but I am reading whatever I can find. Anyway, what I'm planning to achieve: - At various points in the mod, and event, trigger etc., would cause an image to be displayed to...
