Kind of reminds me of the style I was going for some time ago with my project. It's a good way to save time on skipping UV mapping and texturing. May need a some more details on the models then.
The head could also have some more roundness.

But unlike Diablo, this will also have random side quests, and parts of the main quest will also be randomly generated.
I know FrikaC made a cgi-bin version of the quakec interpreter once and wrote part of his website in QuakeC (LordHavoc)

i always thought diablos maps were premade and just loaded at random. guess you learn something new everyday.
