I wonder if there is a viable market for Raspberry PI. They sure must be lacking 3D games, so DP could be a good platform to make such games for PI gamers

The only real problem with Pi is the disproportionately weak CPU (roughly P2 300 I hear), but that's by design to keep the cost down to reasonable hobbyist levels.
Is there a Pi emulator btw? Would be useful for Pi-less development....

Restricting to PCX textures can go a long way for storage and loading times (crushed PNGs are loading torture) and Pi doesn't look like a device that would support S3TC anyway. I believe even Darkplaces supports PCX files.
and I don't mean for paletted texture support, but loading indexed data and 24/32'ing them could help loading. This is a slow processor and 6thgen console-esque compromises should be taken in mind for it. Don't expect Xonotic working overnight , it can barely handle Q3A.
