Games similar to Quake question

Post by ratbert »

Been doing quake-c programming for last few years and have really enjoyed it a lot.
Been getting the itch to move beyond just the quake-c stuff into something more modern.

Curious question is their a modern game that offers same depth of what quake itself offered as
in programming language, amount of players/mods and other things?

Anything starting with the letters U, n, r, e, a, l, T, o, u or U, n, r, e, a, l, D, e, v should give a good start.

Not a game, but Unity is a great tool with relative a easy script. As Leilei said Udk is great also, but Uscript is hardest.

Cryengine games might also be worth a look, uses Lua though.
