Namely winrar versus 7zip
Interesting little read, Im sticking with Winrar, simply because I never liked 7zips interface.

Good reason, I hate 7zip simply because of its interface - it's crap to put it simply.

I hate the 7zFM.exe as well.

I use winrar. I've used 7zip only once, and that was to rename a file inside a zip so that it would extract properly.

I like tugzip, it can compress to 7z format too, so user interface is not a problem anymore.

Tugzip looks pretty cool, maybe I'll give it a go

Ive been meaning to gradually purge software from my system for open source equivalents when I havent purchased it. I just like knowing that my machine is a bit more legal, and its internals arent so secretive (of course this means ultimately I need to consider getting something like Ubuntu... fortunately DP plays just fine in Linux (and Id get access to v_psycho)).

Lets convert this thread into something on free software and the like... So we have Tugzip, and various OSes like Ubuntu and SuSe, and also OpenOffice, FileZilla, games like Nexuiz, GIMP, InkPress... everyone feel free to share handy free programs.

I didn't change any of the text, just brought it down to a normal size font. size=129 is a bit disruptive.

They had to change the "SS" in KISS to a different font in Germany because of the resemblance to the Shutzstaffel symbol : D
