Iron dights animation code

Hi sniperz227 here i was wondering how i could code in iron sights if i had an iron sight animation on my gun

There are several threads on this, just use the search function and you should find them :) I have'nt gotten it to work myself though. But the basics is that you make and impulse command, and an animation. When you strike a button on your keyboard, activating the function, the animation plays. The animation is your gun being pulled from its original place to an aim down sights mode. But search for the threads, maybe you will have more luck there.

Try asking in the threads instead, that's why they're there. Otherwise you could ask someone on the forums by PM. If you're not experienced with QC i recommend that you check out some tutorials and actully try and learn the language. Start out small!

an iron sight not only needs of an animation, also needs something of balance in the game. For example mini-FOV ( zoom if you use darkplaces), speed of the player, precision etc. For all this I advise you that you should check the source code of the "tactical quake" (it is an open code) it does not have precisely an iron sight, but the desert eagle (?), the pistol has something that of course will have to help you in your code.
