what theme? organic mutant style, or mech again? it looks rather organic.

will explode on the ground to release little... annoying things

I gotta tell ya Error, that thing looks pretty freaky. Now give it some form of exploding animation, and an "exploded" frame, so that it's just those legs hanging from the roof with some bits of the sac below hanging off. Might be better as a separate model, than trying to cram that into the same one. Would love to see little vore babies pop out of those.
