Fiend Hunter Zero

Yeah, I know I probably should have announced this on my expo page, but hell, it's spur of the moment.

Seeing as how Xoltan is gone (Meaning no more Fiend Hunter aka FH1) and FrikaC's Vile is MIA, I've decided to propose this.

Fiend Hunter Zero will be a open community mod striving to accomplish what some of the eariler versions of Fiend Hunter had, and also adding a gloom style gamemode for deathmatch (Preferably with Frikbot support).

By "open community", I mean a repository of models, gfx, sounds, and code, open to submission from just about anybody, and availible for use by just about anybody under GNU or similar license. While it would be preferred that any submissions be capable of working with least WinQuake (DOSQuake would be even better), materials submitted would by no means be restricted to this.

Eventually, it would be hoped that at least one full scale mod could be produced, once enough materials were availible. (Though it would also be preferred for there to be multiple versions and takes on the particular genre.)

Thus ends my stupid proposal that probably won't ever get anywhere. (TM)

I can still do Vile 2. It never had much more than an idea.

Hey, I did say it was stupid, and probably wouldn't get very far. If you like, I could maybe help out some with Vile 2.

Unfortunatly too true, and I have no idea how something like that would be set up.

Hrm. A wiki or CVS.

Hrrrrrrm. It would be cool if there was something like CVS, but easier for the casual user to get into. /me looks into it.
