I cannot reach the dpwiki anymore...

first of all, Thank you Spirit for your file.
Unfortunately it doesnt work for me
When I double click the index.html I see the start page of dpwiki just fine,
but when I click on one of the subfolders (example: "console variables"), the page cannot be shown.
So I have only the main page, which does not include any infos.
Maybe I am doing something wrong ?


The dpwiki is a page with the best documentation of DarkPlaces and it would be a great loss
for all DP-modders if we would lose it.

Last time this happens (that the page was down), was exactly 2 years ago.
JasonX mentioned it and Error said, that he forgot to pay the last bill....
Hmmm, it seems Error is not around at the moment.
I hope that we will not lose this great documentation page.

I got the Wiki up again last night - http://www.quakewiki.net/darkplaces-wiki/ - I have added all the content from the original site.

Feel free to browse it.

No history, no proper credits to the authors and not complete at all.

I have copied the entire content from Web Archives. I have added Error as the main contributor. That's all there was in there. If Error doesn't reactivate the site, I'll try to update the wiki the missing sections.

What web archives? You can grab more from https://encrypted.google.com/search?q=s ... truct.com/ and using the Google cache.

By credits I meant the actual authors but I guess that is only available on the history pages. Well you can get most from the dump I posted above (which afaik can be imported into mediawiki).

But I would really rather just wait to see what Error says when he is back.

Does not look like the Wiki had a free license specified.

If the Wiki gets back up, I'll delete the one on my site. Thanks for the link, I'll take a look.


UPDATE: Indeed, the Google cache shows more content. I'll wait several days, until Error gets back, then I'll see what I can do.

Better snatch the Google cache quickly, no idea how long they keep it!

The Archive.org Wayback Machine has very long delay. They probably made more copies of the site that would be available later (unless some asshat grabs the domain and robots.txt-blocks robots.
