....The joy I get of saying Wazat's name allowed. Not Static Void, but Wazat. I feel like a toddler who just heard a crash in the distance.
FrikaC is also a joy to say, though it evokes less vivid images, its still just... people give me fun looks when I speak of my friend FrikaC.
This has been on my mind today, things like this, being as how I realised... this has been part of my life for 9 years now, and some of you guys Ive known for around 7... and it astounds me, just how much can come out of a simple little shooter game with anachronisms to so many degrees, and a basic sdk.
Theres something about Quake that just feels good to me. It makes me feel at home like a good bass groove, and Im just glad that it has survived all this long, with such good people.
Hopefully someday, I myself can contribute something to this community... Im taking a class in programming (C++) over the next year, just to get me into a programming mode, and if it takes, which I hope it does, cause if not, my GPA is in peril, then I have quite a number of ideas to try... many of which to just... enhance Quake's ai (logically and behaviorally) and mood.
Im just glad its still around to work with, and so many of you guys, I have to thank for that fact.
Now come 'ere, gimme a shambler hug!
