toneddu2000: thanks... I think it was better shade of blue earlier..

Eukos: I think I remember that place or something.

...

I was doing some minor improvements on some of the UI, HUD stuff. Sort of works with the default Quake HUD layout, but there's some useless stuff in it... Maybe I can think of some use for some of them. Maybe I'll improve the console font a bit. Sort of ok in the console, but kind of faded elsewhere. Earlier font had outlines all around, this one just has shadows at lower right...

That's because It's based on Croft Manor from 1st 3 Tomb Raiders :)

Did a Croft Manor inspired map for fun, it RUNS in DOSQuake but due to it ignoring my sprite offset and not liking tall sprites in general it seems it wants to act funny. Same goes for engoo sadly though it looks great in that otherwise.. :?
Kinda reminds me of the X-Men mansion in Ravages of Apocalypse.

think most quake engines should have this.

@Eukos : looks like it would be a fun map to play on.

It works on any engine, because skip textures are handled via the map compiler

Over at func for the last month there has been a map jam event running and the final map pack is complete with 8 authors creating new maps. The map jam was based on the theme of IK blue/white and as you can see from the screenshot lots of people created different styles.

Blue-White theme is pretty cool. The maps look so pretty, the shells boxes look so out of place. That 2nd at the top row, remind me of Serious Sam Karnak level.

@jim: the xenomorph-like monster looks nice, a great homage to Abuse and Aliens. I'd suggest to make the torso a bit longer and slim (and a bit curved maybe), the legs are too close to the arms.

EDIT: for typo
I know FrikaC made a cgi-bin version of the quakec interpreter once and wrote part of his website in QuakeC :) (LordHavoc)
