Well, after implimenting bots, it's becoming more and more obvious that while the current TROH shotgun is perfectly sufficient for SP play, it's horribly off balanced for DM usage. (Primarily because players are fast moving, and you only get 8 shots max, and take forever to reload)

So, should I make a new replacement shotgun?

Current shotgun specifications:
1. Appearance resembles HiDef Half-Life Shotgun
2. Has Shoot, Pumpaction, Reload, and offhand grenade toss animations.
3. Primary fires single 12 pellet (12 damage per pellet), DAM_BULLET blast.
4. Secondary fires a quick double blast version of above, then plays pumpaction frames.
5. Trifire throws a grenade offhand, the longer the trifire is held the further the grenade flys.
6. Eight shot magazine, slow reload.

Proposed replacment shotgun:
1. Appearance resembles a sexier Quakeish version of the Quake2 shotgun.
2. Would have Shoot, Pumpaction, reload, and offhand grenade toss.
3. Primary would fire a controllable 8 pellet (12 damage per pellet), auto burst (up to three shots per burst).
4. Secondary would fire a Gravity effected Flakshot that bounces off walls. Would require 3 shells, and each shot would require playing the pumpaction frames.
5. Trifire would be exactly the same as the current shotgun's trifire.
6. 24 shot Drum Magazine, reload would be fairly quick. (Drop out old drum, slap in new drum)

Thoughts on whether or not I should do this?
