Aye. I guess it would be easier to just code HUD and Menu in the engine :) If this is all you wanted to do, YES, do it in the engine! pak1.pak is the data of the registered version of Quake. You have to buy Quake to get that file. (pak0.pak is used by both the shareware and the registered versions.) If you downloaded the QuakeC source, you should have a folder full of .qc files, and also a filed called progs.src in that directory....

I tried using that. I studied The vecto angles, but I didn't get any results at all. I see that one small value can change alot. Even some sci-fi games can have great 'conventional weapon' feedback. In terms of shotguns i've always been fond of Klingon Honor Guard's, especially the awesome (for the time (1998)) reload animation (oh the OBSCURITY!). Totally off topic, but basically all I remember from that game is that it too...
