[FTEQW][REL] Gardening Sim 2019

Gardening Sim 2019 is a game made for Ludum Dare 41 Compo (which means made in < 48 hours). This time the theme was "Combine 2 Incompatible Genres" and I chose gardening sim and survival horror. The game is played in a top down view with keyboard only controls, singleplayer only. Check out...

Re: What are you working on?

Thanks toneddu2000! I'm not exactly sure where I'll be taking this mod but I am planning on making it standalone from quake once I get around making my own monsters so I don't need the quake ones anymore.

Re: What are you working on?

Been messing a bit with modding with the little time I have recently, just experimenting with some different kinds of gameplay and visual style ideas: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WoonlO_5RZQ

FTEQCC Gui Customization

Hey guys, Today Spike added support to customize the look of your FTEQCC Gui with an external cfg file. (Well, the code view atleast.) Previously this was only doable by modifying the source and changing some values sent to scintilla, which is responsible for most of the things in the code view. In ...

Re: What are you working on?

Looking great jim, I love the graininess of everything, good mix of old (resolution and colors) and new (lighting, bumpmapping/gloss). Just make sure it won't make gameplay relevant things too hard to see ;)

Re: What are you working on?

Been doing some movement stuff for a side project. So far I've added crouching and crouch sliding, which is really handy when you wanna slide under things or inside vents etc. Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K7eKoO4jLNs I still need to write smoothing for the camera when crouching, and also c...

Re: What are you working on?

Been working a bit on a new version of Treasure , the game will play have a drastically different visual style, it will play more like an RPG mechanics wise, things will be more refined all around. Here's a test I made for my new style, I will make the environment not so bright to not kill players e...

Re: FTEQW qc extensions?

FTE has the ability to automatically generate defs files with the engine supported stuff in it, try "pr_dumpplatform -O my_new_defs -Tcs -Ffte" for example, it's gonna output a csqc specific my_new_defs.qc (somewhere in the game folders, can't remember where). The autogenerated defs also h...

Re: What are you working on?

Looks very sick mankrip, I like the small detail on the wall that the dithering causes as a side effect, has much more personality than just regular 16/32bit color depth and looks miles better than banded 8bit.

Re: [FTEQW][LD32 Release] Treasure of the Hellbeast

First I'd make sure the source sound of yours is good quality as in it doesn't clip at all, has a reasonable sampling rate & not 8-bit audio, and that it's mono, no idea how FTE handles stereo .wav but I suppose there's no elegant way other than forcing it to be mono before putting it into a 3d ...

[FTEQW][LD32 Release] Treasure of the Hellbeast

Downloads, QC source (MIT), and more info can be found here: http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-32/?action=preview&uid=46227 Premise of the game itself is quite simple: Go down the dungeon, floor by floor, beat up enemies using four different abilities, steal the demon treasure from the botto...

Re: What are you working on?

Oh man, last thing I was expecting was the grammar police.

Also I hope the theme will be better this year so I can do something more interesting this time, last time was kinda horrible.
