Re: Converting q1 skins to png

I've never had an issue with png skins or textures in photoshop from version 7 onward or gimp. I've even been using krita lately a few times too with ok results.

Re: The TrenchBroom Level Editor for Quake

I just pulled from git, compiled and ran TrenchBroom 2 on Ubuntu base 14.04 under virtualbox without issue so its working ok for me. Go to TrenchBroom on GitHub and follow the Build.txt under the NewArchitecture branch. That pretty much lays it out with easy enough directions to follow. Just make su...

That was mine and Mindz's same thought man. Don't feel too bad, that chat was the most used feature other there for me.

Re: Horrible GIMP bug

I use both, but do love Krita more and more. There is no way I've heard to generate a normal map with Krita alone. You'll still be using Gimp if you need normal map generation from textures.

Re: The TrenchBroom Level Editor for Quake

From what I have read about the Intel GMA X3100 under Windows, the driver supports DirectX 10.0, Shader Model 4.0 and OpenGL 1.5. Under Linux, OpenGL 2.1 is supported.

Re: The TrenchBroom Level Editor for Quake

Earlier in this thread he alluded to a "crashing" issue with TB1 so guessing it doesn't run either. That's why I mentioned a different OS or maybe its a driver issue under windows? I remember trying TB1 on my laptop with intel graphics under windows 7 32bit having the same issue of crashin...

Re: The TrenchBroom Level Editor for Quake

It might be, "MIGHT" be the Intel GMA X3100 in your Toshiba causing it, but it could be also be the Microsoft OS as well. Last night out of curiousity I grabbed the source from git, compiled in minutes and ran Trenchbroom 2 on a similarly speced HP G50 laptop using a GMA X4500 which is onl...

Re: The TrenchBroom Level Editor for Quake

I wouldn't expect you too. Please note that I won't troubleshoot other builds than my own. BTW qbism your build seemed to work fine for me on anything Windows XP I tried, but might of been mistaken as it doesn't seem to load later when attempted. Doesn't matter though it ran in Windows 7 fine and Sl...

Re: The TrenchBroom Level Editor for Quake

Oh sorry, my confusion. When you wrote, "For windows users, here is the latest TB2 alpha build" just assumed you meant recent build like this week or so recent. It runs fine though, no issue thus far.

Re: The TrenchBroom Level Editor for Quake

Thanks. I grabbed and installed cmake too for windows. I got lost after successfully compiling wxwidgets when it came time to tie them in my PATH more than anything. Some replies: There is a cmake target that will package the application (dmg on Mac, zip on Windows). You can build it with cmake --bu...
