If ...

Q2 you mean?

I love Q1's and Q3's rocketlaunchers, especially the way they bounce others around, and the model, sound, refire rate, projectile speed and so on is usually perfect. (UT's rocketlauncher, on the other hand...)

For me, weapon feedback includes: the sound, the animation, the viewangle recoil, and possibly the spread pattern and the impact/pain sounds/animations when you hit someone.

Doom2 ssg is the best, of course. Or at least that's what I've always said. Nowadays I don't enjoy it quite as much as I used ...

No, he has EVERY right to be so hard on himself! The code is terrible. It transforms every vertex individually into worldspace (actually multiple times for most ...

I think it's reasonable to say that the user is responsible for which exe he installs. If he takes a hacked exe from an acquaintance (or non-acquaintance), instead of simply downloading the official one (with an md5 checksum and everything), you can say he has voided the warranty, and completely ...

According to the DarkPlaces paradigm (of security) it shouldn't be possible, and that's a feature!

You can kill the #ifdef and kill the "\0" ... Q_snprintfz is platform neutral and null terminates so the Linux #ifdef is unnecessary and Q_snprintfz null terminates so adding a "\0" to the string is not only redundant, but is actually entirely unhelpful because if the resulting string length ...

Read it over again, he doesn't want a chasecam. He's said that several times. He wants a camera that sits in one spot.

It's been a while for me but it has something to do with SVC_SETVIEW. (This isn't defined in defs.qc, you have to add it. I think it might be 5 or something.) SETVIEW makes the ...

Splitscreen is so easy to implement if you're building an engine from scratch with splitscreen in mind... but there are things I'd rather do than try to change an existing engine to support it. :D

"Ranger" is revisionism. Everyone knows his real name is "Quakeguy". He may be a "slipgate ranger" or something silly like that, but that's not his name.
