I have not the slightest idea what it is on the next windows platforms, but I´m glad I´ve got Quake running on WinXp. It might be an older edition, but from what I have heard all later editions are more backswitched in order to make the comfortabillity of the user more efficïent.

@Qbism- I made a Dark young that only attacks with the upper side, so you can't see it coming. Its stand, walk and run poses are flat, which give it a very rare attack.

It may sound strange, but when using the old Quark4.7 you can open a new map,
go to the texture box, select all textures with the mouse and export them to a wad file.
The same editor has an mdl editor (the only one for I know) that opens the pak file
and extracts any mdl file you want.
