Interesting, im impressed by the work you've done.
i also can do alot other things, i still dont know which of my skills will get enhanced in the future - i hope the Quake modding communty see's the potencial ...

Hi franqutrass. Have you found the source code of this? I also want to add iron sight to Quake 2. I'm really addicted to this game. If you know this by now,please tell me. :(

Logically, make a copy of GrenadeExplode and modify it, then make that the grenade uses the copy instead of the original.

For me, v_idescale is active all the time - even if you move.

That requires some engine coding, but can be done fairly easily

Indeed, im not very familar with displaying images at Engine coding (i just worked with view.cpp, sbar.cpp for the HUD postioning)
but i thought that (because this here is the QuakeC section) it should be done over a QC only way ...

1. make a new .mdl which is just a flat white surface?
2. position it in front of the 'victims' face/eyes?
3. make it follow the victim so its always in front of their face?
4. use viewmodelforclient to make sure no-one else sees it?
5. "alpha it until it's invisible... " not sure how to do this ...

I don't think so, as i said - modify the code, its easy as writing a forum post. Telejano made it gunmodel only, check it out.

idlescale would have been super in Quake 3.

v_idlescale hacks have been around for a long time now. nothing new. come on its so dinosaur even TF has had abused it in 1996 lol.

I suspect some of these newer modders had not yet been born in 1996 :D

Telejano uses v_idescale's code to "swing" the gun only when idle, it can be easy adapted to normal GLQuake over one simple line.

Reminds me of improved punchangles (speed etc. changable in QC easily)
I thought about adding something like punchangle's with multiple directions into my reload ...

I'm currently setting up a Team, for creating a game on the Quake engine.
It will have a green Color style, something like the little "greenish" feeling in the Matrix, thats mostly because the palette of Quake is utter cra*. It will be thirdperson game.
