It's been a loooong time since my college days... I seem to remember that when using floating points, time is lost in shifting (floating) the decimal place in math operations.
Looking at other comments on the internet... they also mention that integers can provide a speed boost 2 to 3 times more ...

Does gyro provide a way of having box physics? It would be cool to have some ammo boxes bouncing around on rocket and grenade explosions.
