Would love to see what that looks like in-game.

Port it down to Microsoft Visual C 5. Platform issues gone then. :P

Thanks!

Great job, Junrall. Regarding the syntax highlight, I'd suggest you to not implement it hardwired in code; instead, read the reserved words and their groups from a text file, like most text editors (TextPad, UltraEdit, etc) already do.
That is exactly what I want to do for QCPad. It ...

As always... I'm still plugging away at QCPad. The interface is similar to before, but prettier. I trashed my original idea of using a bunch of tabs as a way to navigate to QCPad's different areas... Turned out being kinda clunky... people are more accustomed to menu driven software anyways.
Rewrote ...

I don't get it.
Whats the purpose of the above spambot?
It doesn't even have links to a website trying to peddle their fake-ass products or warez.
Admittedly... this one is slightly humorous... and that's pushing it.

Just an idea... maybe try running Fitzkurok as an administrator. I had similar issues with a program that would crash when it tried to open files it didn't have rights to.

Hmmm, im not sure i fully understand modelindex... I hope you don't mind I just copy/paste the whole thing haha. It's my own personal game me and my friends play anyways, not public.

Lol... no problem... I'm not a big "copy/paste then walk a way" fan... but sometimes it's just nice to dissect ...

Ok... here goes... it's not pretty... and I would love to see what you come up with or what comments others have!
And again, not my code/idea... just wanted to check it out... never pursued it any further :wink:

This is what I have in a separate qc (vwep.qc) file:
float modelindex_playernail ...

Sooooo, would this work?

setmodel (self, "progs/player_a");
modelindex_weapon1 = self.modelindex;

or would i need to define a new modelindex or something?

I see in powerups where is says self.modelindex = modelindex_eyes, where would I make a modelindex_weapon1, 2, 3, 4 etc?

Awhile back I ...

dude, I'm trying to learn. I can't learn from my mistakes if i don't get a new code!

There is nothing wrong with asking for help when you are learning something new. And there is nothing wrong in showing your work and having people point out the mistakes and suggesting fixes/ideas.

If you're ...

Hopefully never! :)

What would your concerns be? Good to know before I get to crazy with this idea.

The only concern I may have is overheating issues.

I certainly wouldn't completely wrap a hot-rod laptop or desktop.:wink:

Somewhat Quake related...

Just purchased a wide format printer (54") for a future business...
Found some Quake screen-shots and printed them on a removable sticky-back vinyl... makes a nice laptop protector!
After some practice I'll use a special vinyl and completely wrap my laptop in a Quake theme ...

I agree... the macros are to busy and bulky to look at.

Not coding-related, but something that's affecting my work: We've got an unfinished kitchen here at home, and a ton of small problems to be taken care of in the house. This is very time consuming.

Lol! I know what you're going through... I'm 2/3 finished with 500sqft deck and the rainy season is ...
