Re: 3D Realms Plans QUAKE-Engine Shooter
Hi KillPixel, glad to meet you! I never saw you around, are you one of the "old guard" of inside3d staff?
Personally I really like the look and feel of Wrath, I really really wish you the best, even because, as a selfish thought, I desperately need games like thise nowadays!

Re: orientation of trace_plane_normal
Yeah, my fault, I said a tripod, because it was a gizmo model, very simple and useful to understand axis orientation, it wasn't meant to be overcomplicated!
My opinion is that, whatever approach you'd like to take (quaternions for example) it'd be transparent to quakec devs. There should ...

Re: orientation of trace_plane_normal
thanks a lot Spike, newforward = v_forward - dotproduct(v_forward,v)*v did the trick(kinda)!
Of course that needs a lot of polishing but it's a good start. I think it would be better that FTE would have more helper function for rotation, like align to entity, rotate towards entity, look at, orbit ...

orientation of trace_plane_normal
Hi guys, I'm trying to orientate a tripod model near a slope, using trace_plane_normal
This is the tripod in global coordinates: It has red for x axis, green for y axis and blue for z axis

LOL! Well, this makes me feel not alone!
When I write and read physics code I feel like a boy tinkering with adult stuff..
Thanks for the lecture, Urre, I'll definately take a look!

Re: Is there a way to contact Urre?
Ah, so Strapbomb car code was practically Twig plus car physics? Didn't know that! Well, in this case, I'll use the code you already released. Thanks a lot Urre!
Can I ask you where did you learn math for physics? Do you have some links with good documentation to share?

Re: Is there a way to contact Urre?
First of all, thanks Urre for all your effort to release your code under open source, you're great!
Regarding twig source code, don't worry, you're in good hands! I've the twig060109 version, is this the latest? I can send you via mail or PM, let me know which method do you prefer ...
