Are you sure it's actually fading? As far as I know, DP just does stencil shadows and does not draw in areas that are obscured from a light source. Could it be that there's just another light back there, and the attenuation makes it look like a fade?

Prefabs Thread

Here is a place to post some prefabs for level design that people may find useful. I'll start:

Name: Pipes
Description: Two pipes, about as wide as the Quake guy, one of which has a turn in it. It took me quite some time to get this to look right, so hopefully someone can get some more use out of ...

One idea that would remove that nasty flooding and still be pretty useful would be to only log centerprints that are not the same as the last one. That way, if something shows up, it only gets logged once, and then the log reflects all that the centerprint ever said, and when it changed.

A few that stand out in memory for me are Reinforcer, Defeat in Detail 2, dpmod, TargetQuake, Minion, FrikBot and Beyond Belief (if you categorize that as a mod, which technically it is).

I think the problem with GLSL is that it's not something that's easily tutorialized. You can't just put a GLSL tutorial into an engine and then expect to be able to do cool bumpy specular reflective stuff straight away on everything
That's true. However, I think it would not be terribly difficult ...

Yeah, some way to leave comments/communication sounds like a fun idea.

I think I'm going to have to agree with MauveBib on this one. At first in theory, a longer expo may seem like a good idea, and that it would give people more chances to show off their stuff, or finish something to get it out there, and maybe it does. However, the day to day activities are less jam ...

While that is kind of cool, unless you made it from scratch, isn't that... illegal?

Of course, I could be totally wrong, in which case just let me know.
