Technically it should support all incarnations of TF, since they all share most of the same basic code. SSQC will just need some small adjustments, but the csprogs will be exactly the same for each TF.

The Team Fortress CSQC Thread

There's been a lot of posts about Team Fortress on here lately, and I'm hoping that means some renewed interest (especially in the coding dept). I'm here to ask you guys: what do you think we can do with CSQC to enhance the existing TF experience? I'm not talking about changing the gameplay or ...

What engine are you using? If it's DP or FTE then just use CSQC. I actually already have CSQC code for just what you're looking to do..

The defacto is still Hipnotic rotating entities (Scourge of Armagon).

It sucks, of course. Maybe it was an illusion to think that you could teach an old horse new tricks. There is not really a request from the mappers (there isn't even a "the mappers") for a hipnotic substitute. Quite the contrary ...

If you want a base code to get started with, I suggest taking a look at Urre's tutorials and some of the other aforementioned pojects like kleshik and nexuiz (though the latter may give you headaches). Also, CSQC GUI has a pretty solid base for a "Clean" CSQC kinda project..

This is best source port and alive
http://uhexen2.sourceforge.net/
if you click "Links" on main page
you can find more source ports.
I have question:
What other source ports you know?

Hello five years ago :D

On a side note, a project to re-implement Hexen II's HUD into FTE via CSQC would be ...

A remake of Malice would be awesome, though it's hard to improve on the perfect cheese of the existing cut scenes. I thought that the QW source or some other source for it was released? Once, long ago (in a galaxy far, far away) I remember decompiling the SP game and recompiling it to work on QW ...

Almost all of the half-life entities' basic functionality is no problem for standard quake engines. Quake-life supports as many functional entities as it can without needing some extreme hacks. All entities should work on standard quake engines save for multi_manager, the scripts (scripted_sequence ...

quake life doesnot work on the psp as I understand, I do like playing with these on the psp tho

Really only a few extensions need adding to make it work.. off the top of my head:

FRIK_FILE
strzone/cat/strlen/(basically the string tools)
and an extension that sticks all property data into the ...

.. which is why i asked how you were doing it in ssqc, thinking that you may have implemented some extension to read client key inputs. That's how I would do it, sans CSQC, anyways..

I think -z-'s first post in that thread pretty much sums it up. That nexuiz is going non-GPL I could care little for.. but it's about the fact that nexuiz has been by and large developed by the community, and it seems like they had little/no say.

Does anyone remember nexuiz 1.0? Quite frankly it ...
