Quakeworld.nu is really the only Quakeworld forum of note (that I know of).
I went to quakeworld.nu and saw MoonDrunk has posted there

Re: Quake 20th BirthDay
@qbism --- you should message ArrCee at QuakeOne to make your post into a news item.
Thanks, I've contacted him.
Is anyone here involved/familiar with the QuakeWorld sites? It would be good to post about the expo on news/forums. You can see what I wrote at QuakeOne (and probably do better ...

Re: Quake 20th BirthDay
The proposed schedule sounds great do me. I will try to prepare something for the event. Excellent!
I think it will help psychologically to move the registration up even more and give a true 2 months before expo. Updated schedule above. It can be ready May 14. Sorry for any additional time ...

Re: Quake 20th BirthDay
For the info: QExpo Summer "tradition" < the fact that, in 2001, 90% of modders or mappers were high-school or college students :)

Re: Filefont shutting down
Sarcasm notwithstanding
most folk are not going to wade through unsorted archive chunks. Will the files wind up on wayback along with the pages?
I wasn't aware of either project. It will be interesting to see what is exhumed.

Re: Quake 20th BirthDay
I had tested bbpress, buddypress and rtmedia for qexpo wordpress brainstorming last year, they were incredibly slow but if you have a decent server they might be worth using. I'm setting up a prototype based on http://commonsinabox.org/ which is basically a nicely organized buddypress package. One ...

Re: Quake 20th BirthDay
The facebook page could be set up quickly and be used for people to simply chat and discuss their project (possibly months) prior to the "event," then (hopefully) a few more special things could happen during it (besides news of map/mod release and such), like online matches, or Twitch videos? The ...

Re: Define Most Annoying Task?
Well, I'm not sure what a logical response to that is really. You have to use nodes to do it right and node up based on precedence. At least to do it right.
Frankly I'm clueless, but interested. I had to look up nodes. Are the overhead and features of general language processing needed for math ...

Re: Define Most Annoying Task?
Writing a parser from scratch? I would assume a recursive function based on discovery of open brackets and secondary recursion based on operator priority. Someone has probably written this in 12 lines of code  Minus another 12 lines of warning and error messages.

Re: last version of C::B Advanced
Thanks, I might try patching up the header enough to get by. I want to see if there were compatibility or performance improvements over mingw64. I noticed it picked up a couple extra warnings, including a potentially important implicit defined function warning.

Re: last version of C::B Advanced
Finally got around to trying the mingw gcc 5.3 but couldn't get far. At least some of the win32 headers are broken. Missing defines and other bits. msacm.h for example.
