#1, Either you can use a engine that uses .ent files, so you can add/remove any entities through a list. Or, you could by QC dynamicly spawn new spawn points uppon mapname.

A hint is to look up "sv_gravity" in world.qc, it shows how to identify a specific map name.

DarkPlaces (DP) is a glQuake1 based engine, but with lots of alterations such as per pixel lightning, md3 models, targa/png texture replacement, q3bsp maps, vorbis ogg support etc.

Yes, USA and Greece have idgames only - thought i'd add them anyway

As many know, both cdrom.com and sunet has gone insane and removed the idgames folders from their domains.

Im not 100% if this matters, but werent those tutorials released under the FDL license? If so, you could use them in virtualy any licensed project? (or would that be redistribution of the "document"?)

Been working with a mod for vengeance r2 aswell as project editor 2006.

Propper mods make you type in the console what map you want to start, and possibly use a map they name "start.bsp" with a bunch of teleporters to the various maps (as in the qmatrix mod)

Or you could always download a engine of choice and hardcode your own maps to it and distribute that engine ...
