got a base mesh together, not sure how it's going to rig (or whether it'll just explode!), but if anybody with more experience modelling has any feedback on the topology it'd be appreciated.

Schpuld, that looks pretty smooth, does it work with the quake monsters?

@leileilol it's an untextured shotgun sitting next to the original quake v_shot.mdl. two questions: what happens to the framerate when you look down at the key in e1m3/ back into a wall in the main cavern in e1m4? and when are you planning to do another release? I don't have a windows machine I can ...

there's some hands and a pistol as well, but I don't think they look low poly enough. for a probably never finished/released qc mod.

awesome. started building a rig. not sure how to connect it to the mesh yet..

edit. added the .r and .l suffixes, don't think the vertex groups are being mirrored properly...

edit2. turns out you need empty vertex groups for the mirror modifier to work properly.

iqm help

so I made the following model. http://i.imgur.com/CfBva.jpg I want to get it in game in iqm format as a replacement for the axe but I'm completely at sea. Is there any way to leave the mirror modifier in in blender and still rig the model? how do I align it to view? what do I do about the framegroup...

Still tinkering away. pretty amazing! the maps could use some polish in places (and I'm certain will get it) inspired me to learn mapping, sneaking files out of your svn and trying to set up radiant as I type this!

in a quake context malice had some of the most satisfying weapons ever, I also liked everything in half-life except the egon, but I don't think I've ever seen a well made fps beam weapon, would love to be shown the error of my ways.
