Not doing anything wrong, there are a few issues with +map (and a few other commands like +maxplayers) that I don't yet understand, I need to somehow review the whole set of console commands carefully and figure out what I can do to fix this. I think I have finally resolved these issues in the 2005...

Darksnow: the things you present there are mostly an issue of gamecode, not the engine. Ambience is also something that comes out of good art direction, not the engine. Crouching is not an engine issue, it's the q1bsp format. You can still do crouching even in that, with some clever thinking. Many ...

The main reason to have Quake2 is that the qexpo staff know how to hand...

Re: DP textures missing and weird lighting
I may be missing the newest update that fixes this, but here's a few interesting images (attached in a .zip). There's skins missing on models (black shamblers), ammo boxes (white boxes), walls (not seen here, but I occasionally get very wacked out textures on walls, or just pure black and white sur...

Re: Sticky keys in DP
I've noticed that in DP, sometimes certain keys don't turn off when I release them. For example, I let go of the fire button but the player keeps firing, or when I'm running around I'll end up getting forced sideways or something as if I'm playing in a majorly lagged game. It just seems like releas...
