Re: What are you working on?

There are tons of examples to learn from, but yeah it is not quite as easy as q3a shaders. I have made the map so big it only runs on FTE, but so far I don't have any feature that really demand a particular engine. I may even "fold" the map so the coords are safe for other engines. I did t...

Re: What are you working on?

If you're on Linux then Simple Screen Recorder is easy to use and works great. OBS Studio is also free, Linux, Mac, Windows, fairly easy to use and works great. If you use darkplaces, it's very easy to record a quake demo and then using DP it can be captured/converted to an OGV(Theora video) file wi...

Re: What are you working on?

Thank you kindly. The "V" was all me! I thought it would be great if you could see who actived the trap or have the satisfaction of watching the victim die. Map looks pretty much the same in darkplaces or quakespasm minus the pretty water. @xaGe: I like "V shape" opening a lot! V...

Re: What are you working on?

I've been collaborating with friends making a deathmatch map for fun and practice in TrenchBroom 2 Alpha. Simple enough map, but definitely fun mapping. Majority of the brush work done by SpecialBomb and I've added a few _surface lights, fixes and trap changes playing with different ideas. http://i....

Re: Popular mods back in the day?

It hasn't been compatible with the DC in a longggg time. The man to ask is the author Renny who is logged onto the #qc channel on IRC most days. The last time I remember it ran on the DC was with mankrip's makaqu engine.
