@toneddu2000 :) thanks for the comment. This stuff is based in some old AG, oriented in first place to the exploration and in second place to solve puzzles. BTW to make puzzles in qc is a hard work, so dead morning will be a game more "ambiental".
hi, I am nahuel, I love quake and qc.

Meh I have nothing to show for what I'm working on...

Code: Select all

Adjusted input system so that mouse position is reset less often (currently doesn't account for any frame-loss), negative effect of this is that the input is less sensitive.
More work on E1M3.
LaserGat now explodes upon releasing from base.
Adjusted LaserGat idle aim.
Inmater can now be "killed".
Waypoints are now allocated correctly.
Removed the sidewinder spiral velocity adjust for now.
Fixed a bug when sending effects between both the client and server.
Added particle trails for rockets (EF_PARTICLE_SMOKE).
Added particle trails for gibs (EF_PARTICLE_BLOOD).

Particles are a pain to implement sometimes often with trial and error results. I only liked effects I had from luck.

I still don't have HL-ish beams!

Bump with progress. I'm working on a topdown total conversion/standalone game on darkplaces.
I got player model with separated torso and legs working, game utilizes backwards/strafe anims properly as well.
Weapon model is attached with the q3 model tags to the torso and muzzleflash is attached to the weapon.

got a base mesh together, not sure how it's going to rig (or whether it'll just explode!), but if anybody with more experience modelling has any feedback on the topology it'd be appreciated.

Schpuld, that looks pretty smooth, does it work with the quake monsters?

The beginnings of Generation 3 of Alien Arena. The Gen 2 player models served us for six years from 2008 till now, but with the engine advances, it's time for a retooling.

Alien Arena screenshots remind me of old sci-fi book covers, especially the lighting. Looks good with the soft shadows.

very very interesting article gb. I never approached FTE and always used DP because FTE site seems outdated but I notice that FTE has a lot of great features
Good job

EDIT: just a little critic: please position your images inside the h1 paragraph. It's difficult to understand some images what refer to.
