Are there some Third Person Quake mods?

Post by daemonicky »

I mean, some decent third person mods for Quake? Thanks :) .

For example Tomb Raider? Asghan (Guy slays dragons) or Drakan (Girl flies dragons) like ? Or Max Payne ? :)

I know about Ascension Of Vigil, which was inspired by Devil May Cry.
I know about AirQuake, so I guess it can be modded to have dragons...

FWIW, Diablo is not Top Down, but rather, Isometric. Top Down is more akin to the grenadey sections of Master Blaster, or the map sections of TMNT for the NES. For some reason my mind blanks on top down games other than NES titles...

There's a top down version of SuperDuperQuake, but not sure if it fits the "decent" criteria you added on the poll... :P

Also, I remember about a Supa's mod using top down view with zombies. Damn, it sucks being an old fart with a flawed memory...
I know FrikaC made a cgi-bin version of the quakec interpreter once and wrote part of his website in QuakeC :) (LordHavoc)

I told you kids, I'm just going senile! By the way, this remembers me the time I caught the ferry over to Shelbyville. I needed a new heel for my shoe, so, I decided to go to Morganville, which is what they called Shelbyville in those days. So I tied an onion to my belt, which was the style at the time. Now, to take the ferry cost a nickel, and in those days, nickels had pictures of bumblebees on 'em. "Give me five bees for a quarter," you'd say.

Now where were we? Oh yeah: the important thing was I had an onion on my belt, which was the style at the time. They didn't have white onions because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big yellow ones...

ajay, I had forgotten about that, I need to give it another go! Also, brilliant typo in that sentence.
