Archiving public repositories

I posted this in the WAYWO-thread earlier, thought it could use its own thread.

I wrote a quick and dirty script to automatically and regularly fetch Quake source code repositories: https://github.com/SpiritQuaddicted/quake-code-archives

Tell me about more public repositories or even better, add them to the lists for me. So far I have a bit more than 100 on the lists. You can see the current lists at https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Spiri ... /repos.git and https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Spiri ... /repos.svn

Here is a up-to-date dump of the resulting archive, I excluded svn.icculus.org:remakequake/ because it would have been 5.6GiB more. Grab this while you can, I will not make an effort to keep it online.

So far it rescued at least:

DirectQ repository any possibility? It's been taken down and I do have a 2013 snapshot lying on my drive somewhere.

Nope, but mail me that snapshot if you want. I only have what's in https://www.quaddicted.com/files/engines/

About 60 github repositories added today, I searched for "Quake" and added everything interesting with updates in 2014. I let some non-Q1 stuff snuck in, it does not hurt. https://github.com/SpiritQuaddicted/qua ... ommit/d55c

25 Gigabytes from January 2022: https://archive.org/download/quake-code ... 3.tar.zstd

I just added a couple of more repos and will have another dump in a few days.

PS: Different file sizes might just be different compression settings.

Another year, another dump with lots of additions [1, 2]:

https://archive.org/download/quake-code ... 9.tar.zstd

This is got much bigger due to some big new repos. ~51G.

850 repos by now. Any repos I should add?
