There are some 2D mods for Quake 1, but i never heard of one for Q3. Is there anyone? Or maybe some snippet to make a 2D camera?

Unfortunately, i didn't managed to find any examples or source-codes of this. TargetQuake3 seems to be what i have in mind, but no source anywhere.

Why don't you try TargetQuake for Quake 1?

No never seen 3D only 2D. but why the game makers make a 2D game because today is every one moved for 3D gaming.but If any one have 3D version then send download link.
