[WC1.6] Automatic texture aligning?

Postby Nash » Sat Oct 20, 2007 2:14 pm

I come from the Doom modding community, and the Doom map editor I use (DoomBuilder) has a feature in the 3-d view where you can point your cursor to a wall and use the Auto Align function.

What it does is, it scans for all the walls connected to it that have the same texture name and aligns them automatically so there aren't any ugly seams.

Is this possible in Worldcraft 1.6? I've look around for about an hour but can't seem to find such a feature other than having to manually offset the textures brush-by-brush.

I know WC 2.x (for Half-Life) and later had a "fit" button in the texture alignment window

QuArK also has a similar feature
i should not be here

Looks like I'll just have to switch to WC 3.3 or something.

Looks like a bitch to setup for Quake mapping though...

Baker made an installer that does the configuring for you. Can't remember where it is, though.

It's called "QuakeAdapter" or something like that.
F. A. Špork, an enlightened nobleman and a great patron of art, had a stately Baroque spa complex built on the banks of the River Labe.
