Quark texture manipulation

Post by Mathuzzz »

Hi,

I wanted to ask about obvious problem with texture manipulation in Quark map editor. I´m mapping for Hexen 2. Whenever I position texture on a face that is uneven, in-game it looks different/distorted. From what I have read, it may be eliminated by setting map output to Quark etp. However I have to set it to Classic Quake because my mapping tools does not support Quark floating points and these are the only tools that are able to compile my map (it is bigger and exceed standard limits). Is there any way I can make the textures shows correctly? I asked on several boards already with no answer, I guess it must be problem of Quake also, not only Hexen 2.

Thanks

Set "decimal places for brushes" to zero? Haven't used Quark mapping in a while, though.

leileilol, well, it is Quark issue, however I wasn´t lucky on the boards.

qbism, I was only able to set it to 1, not 0 and then all the textures were shifted, even on narrow faces.
