June Speed Mod?
June Speed Mod?
Hi,
I was wondering if there was going to be a June speedmod as I enjoyed playing through the previous month's entries and having been learning qc recently I would like to get involved.

sorry for the lack of updating the speedmodding site. June 14th will be the date. 48 hours will be the time limit. on that day, join in #speedqc on irc.anynet.net or simply visit the site.
Hope to see you there.

Sounds good. I should be able to make that at some point over those two days.
OK, speedmodding time.
The theme for this speedmodding session is:
Particles/sprites
Use of Scriptable particle systems is encouraged but not required. Use of Fimg is encouraged but not required.
Be creative, make some fun effects. For example, make a weapon that uses sprites, or a monster who is a sprite and is constantly spewing particles, I don't care. Have fun with it!
EDIT: Forgot to mention, the speedmod ends at 6PM GMT, Saturday June 17. That's 1PM EST. Also, send all results to Error like you normally would, so he can put them on the site.

Ok, I've released my entry at:
http://elf.planetquake.gamespy.com/up.zip
Stock GLQUAKE is the recommended engine. Apparently it looks weird in some others.
Oh, and don't even attempt to run it multiplayer - I can't be help responsible for the results. Safe to say it's designed for single player only atm.
Enjoy!
