Turtlemodding Thread

Periodically a post will be made here explaining rules and regulations (if any) for turtlemodding sessions. As we get newer people doing these events, please remember to keep criticism constructive, and above all: Have fun!

The idea of a turtle mod is to give people a rule set, a theme to build on, and a general time-frame for how long to create your mod from scratch. Being that it's called a turtlemod, you are given a longer time to build your mod than a speedmodding event. If you don't need all the allotted time, then that's fine as well.

Turtlemodding Events Thus-far:

 Event #1 : What if Quake played like...
Ceriux : Wolf3D
Asaki : Heylow (Halo)
Arkage : Chasm (minecraft)
Supa : Monster Defense (tower defense)

All submitted files will be mirrored HERE

*** I will not host any materials from commercial games (unless owned by you).
*** Put simply, don't claim something as your own unless it truly is.

You don't have to be a QC pro to speed/turtle mod. It's there to build your skills too.

I advertised the event on my quake group over at mod/indie db. i dunno if they made the post visable yet. but anyone who checks there more often will get some kind of notification and hopefully more show to compete =)

I don't think any of the new blood get it at all.

Yeah, do THAT a few days too late. Makes the event fair for everyone involved. you'd probably even do this for speedmodding

Entering an existing mod into the event would be cheating and instant disqualification

Anyway i'll work on my grand idea. too bad no one will get it either

Oh I'm sure i'll get it. New blood maybe not, though I've been around for countless years.

I didn't said that i would enter this event O_O

This event just reminded me in my RCOOP mod, because the first playable release was done very fast and is serverside.
Sorry for talking SO unclearly.

Okay, here's my entry. sorry if im late. ran into some bad luck and confusion at the last moments.

forgive the crappy mapping was in a rush and forgive the crappy models didnt try hard on them, same with the textures/skins.
