Im currently experimenting with the GloBot, but i noticed he isnt
very good at navigating around, the just walks straight forward -.-
The source from QMB/Vengeance r2 is even worser: He spins around like on drugs
and keeps hugging walls.
Is there any engineside bot (or a modified GloBot with better navigation) that doesnt suck that bad?
Good Engineside bots?
Re: Good Engineside bots?
No.
.......well okay, there is that one bot in Laser Arena which is mostly engine-side, but that's closed source.
Remember that GloBot is written as a tutorial to show that It could be done, and is not a fully featured smart bot. Though it could use some improvements.......
- Reading Frikbot WAY files on map load natively
- Pulling names from a text file rather than hardcoded
- Per-mod configurations for behavior and weight adjustment with entities
- On-the-fly AAS?

Re: Good Engineside bots?
Actually i found some more here:

I played his Genebot, he seems to be abit smarter than the "GloBot", also he has a
waypoint system but sadly its only for Quakeworld.
Also the first time i played with engienside bots was Engoo, but they loved to walk into lava
