QEngine

Postby Spirit » Fri Feb 18, 2011 10:01 am

QEngine is game engine which can be used to play Quake 1, Quake 2, and Quake 3 with enhanced graphics, physics, and scripting.

http://sourceforge.net/projects/qengine/
http://www.qengine3d.org/

There are not yet any playable games available.

I found this earlier, cannot judge it as everything is way over my head but it might be interesting for you guys.

It is on a very early stage, so don't judge it. ;)

Hmm thought of playing Quake 3 maps with enhanced textures back in DarkPlaces for the lulz effect.
But this looks more exciting.

Sounds a lot like this, and this. except those don't have unneccessary gui toolkits hooked to them

though i just checked the qengine source... doesn't look resembling quake. looks like some misguided scratch implementation!?
i should not be here
