There few positive points of going after DC, besides profit.
PSP is really big in Japan.

PSP? Pff! Wait till the NGP comes out this holiday season. Then there will be no need to port anything. I'd be capable of running dp :D

Well if it supports homebrew I'm sure we'll see an ARM port of Darkplaces, or at the very least Quakes 1 - 3, for the NGP.

No, and I am pretty that he will not do it.

There was an ARM port started by someone (mostly to port Nexuiz iirc) but I guess it got stuck.

What I'd really like to implement in the (very) long run is alias model editing, not just loading.

I really, really hated how hard it is to get any models to look as I intended them to when I modeled and skinned models for JoyMenu and Fightoon. Using the engine itself to edit them would've saved a lot of time.
