NPR Quake in DP

I'm trying to replicate what was done in the Sketch module of NPR Quake in DarkPlaces. Does anyone have any insights that might be able to help me? I'm searching on R_DrawTextureSurfaceList_GL20 in gl_rmain.c.

Does GLSL allow me to change the way polygons are drawn, as in NPR Quake?
