jukki probably has the old version from kurok's forums.

Weapon_crowbar never released a source, but he gave me the newest beta a little while back to use for my game. He hasn't been online since april though. He said he might publicly release the final dquake when he is finished. The old version is buggy :P

The point of the source being under GPL is to keep this 'this super special and unique source code is all mine and none of you deserve it, assholes!' righteous selfishness to a minimum. I see that flew past the heads of the PSP scene.... what a goddamn pity.
i should not be here

Oh, what a pity.

You're missing out on all the "quality works" of the PSP community!

I don't even have a source for the newest, my engine coder dissapeared in april, and I have been using his newest beta since then. He said it will be released here when he is done, but I don't even know where he is :/

I have been asked like 5 times this week for the newest d-quake engine, I am not going to release it just because people want the newest one, I am currently using it for my game, and it will be released when my game is released/ crowbar decides to. I am lucky crowbar even wanted to help me with the engine. You will just have to use the older version for now

Thats like solitude releasing their engine on impulse, because people are begging them for it.

What is more a shame is that there is no fully featured, debugged and legal PSP Quake engine.

And with an ethical swamp that the homebrew scene has, that kind of environment will tend to prevent such a thing from emerging.

I could help you, because i've already done this before, but i won't help you, because you wouldn't give me the latest version of DQuake...

Since Biodude can't give you the source code, it is actually illegal for him to distribute it to you. Or his game.

This is the unproductive "swamp" I refer to. And silliness of someone making a game using an engine he has no source to ... more "swamp".

At the same time, the lack of ethical engine coders having the time and effort to assist in the PSP is lacking. I guess you have to take what you can get. I suppose. At the same time, this site and the members of the site and previous such sites didn't achieve what they did by not cooperating. The road is a rough one, the answers clear but the courageous few ....

But this kind of thing sorts itself out in time. Just not as fast or as easy as people want.

Rather than unproductively cater towards the ethical "poverty" end of the spectrum where people have to use whatever they can for PSP modding ...

List the features needed in a PSP engine.

What features does DQuake have that you want?

This isn't an offer to do them. I am interested in knowing what they are. No need to mention Half-Life BSP support, that demand is well known.
