Qonquer - V1.1 Released
New version!
http://www.wantonhubris.com/qonquer/Qonquer.html
Direct download:

Anyone who found it too easy before will hopefully find that it scales a little better if you play on Hard or Nightmare.
Changes:
- added “impulse 12” for cycling to the previous weapon with ammo
- fixed the ‘Elder Arena’ on Easy skill (no monsters were spawning!)
- minions will no longer hurt each other or the player
- made the minions stand further away from the player so they won’t trap you in the corner
- increased various limits, tweaked various times, based more values on skill level
- added finale screen (take a screenshot, impress your friends)
- proper respawn for the player after finale

I had downloaded the first version of your mod, Willem, saved it on my (very full) desktop and, for some reasons, forgot all about it until I found it this morning.
I tried and I must say I find it very fun! It's funny because there were a couple of bugs I wanted to point out, and I see that there are all fixed in this newer version. Awesome!
The gameplay is simple (it reminds me of a mini-mod I'm working on right now, in fact), yet very effective and I love the maps (great architecture). It would have been tempting to go for larger maps for this kind of mod, but I think going for smaller ones is what makes this fun.
Do you intend to work more on this? (more maps, maybe?) And do you have more Q1 mod projects in mind, because if you do, I'd love to hear about them!

I don't have any immediate plans to work on Qonquer any further beyond maybe making some more arenas as time permits.
I'd like to do some other Quake1 work but I'm wrapped up in level design at the moment. One day...
