Hi, i needed help trying to add sprites. I wanted their to be like a smoky sprite coming form the tip of the barrel when i shoot my gun. I think this is a sprite and was wondering how i would make it happen. Also my second thing is i want there to be a sprite when the bullet hits a wall or a building or something. Thanks

maybe this helps you on your way.

Regarding 1.)
You could integrate additional models into your weapon animation model, and add textures with alpha channel (transparent) to make it semi transparent and create beautiful effects with it.

Regarding 2.)
If you use DarkPlaces, all you need to make magical effects (such as you described) is the file: "effectinfo.txt"
With it, you can create real engine sided custom effects for almost everything.
