CSQC and menu.dat; mods

Hello to everyone. Since we know, only there are two ways of learning programming;
- reading code.
- writing code.
Good the question is that I want to learn csqc, and how to create a menu.dat. But I have not found mods (with source including) that use them.
With regard to the csqc I have found some tutorials and it seems quite intuitive, although there is no too much information. Only the nexuiz, which has a too complex code for me.
But speaking of menu.dat I can say that I have not found anything by no means, some of them can say to me that it should use a csqc gui and that if I use darkplaces the menu.dat it can seem obsolete (?), but neither I can begin.
Are it mods that have examples of use of csprogs.dat and menu.dat (with source including)?
yes, I am a noob but I used the search bar, I could not have found very much.

I my as well shamelesly plug myself here, my entry for the turtlemod made use of both csqc and menu qc, theres not a whole lot there but there should be enough to show how it all goes together.

This gives me a crazy idea. Is it possible to create anything similar to the garry's mod for darkplaces???

I played it and liked it ALOT! Shows more of what you can do with Darkplaces :)
