disappearing entities.
hey,
i have some entities that disappear when they are near the edges of the view.
is this to do with bounds setting in the code?
thanks in advance for any help.

Yup, sure is. I guess you're likely using an original GLQuake or something similar; most modded engines have long since been patched to fix this one.
If you're working on your own engine, the fix is here: http://www.quake-1.com/docs/quakesrc.org/71.html

actually im using darkplaces.
hmm
the dynamic shadows still project. but the actual model disappears.
EDIT*
it was actually to do with the model. im not sure what was wrong with it. but it would cause darkplaces to make it disappear at edges of the model.
i ended up fixing it by merging the mesh with a known good mesh. deleting the unwanted mesh(the known good one) and reexport it. and it seemed to fix it.
this should probably be moved to modelling.??
the problem came up again. im going to continue this thread in under modelling.
