I'm On The Darkplaces Wagon!

Postby Junrall » Sat Mar 27, 2010 5:01 am

As some of you know... for fun, I was toying around with ricocheting spikes (http://forums.inside3d.com/viewtopic.php?t=2064) and was having some minor issues... no problem, I got through the issues with help from some of you (thanks again!).

I decided to revisit ricocheting spikes, but this time I wanted to tackle it with Darkplace's extensions. Wow! Not only was it easier! I was able to easily accomplish something that I think would be a huge undertaking with QC alone!.. sticking spikes into doors then have the spikes move with doors as they open and close!

I can't wait till I dive into it further!
Good God! You shot my leg off!

people always wonder why I'm always like "if you use Darkplaces it could be a lot easier!"

ricocheting spikes alone only requires 1 line change in DP. the sticking is a little harder, but still amazingly easier with DP.
