iv gone into dp and edited my dynamic lights (and saved them) but the only time my bump maps seem to work is when i fire a gun (rocket launcher just shows good) anyways... does anyone know of a way i can edit my light entities in qc to get the same effect? because editing within darkplaces doesnt seem to be working.

Have you tried Moving Lights by Marc Fontaine?

This happens to me also. I have bumpmapping active, realtime active, but the bumpmapping becomes nicer and more visible when I shoot near a wall. When I place a normal light in the same position near the wall, the effect is a normal light, with less bumpmapping visible.

Try an RTlights file. DP has a built-in RT light editor.
