Bare Minimum Codebase
Hi guys,
I've recently gone through the from scratch tutorials but i've noticed that they were never finished. At this point i have all four chapters finished but obviously there are parts missing like:
- Map entities like lifts and rotating brushes aren't loaded.
- Entities such as weapons, ammo and health aren't loaded.
- Monsters aren't loaded.
And other things like that. I've taken a look at the official source for the Quake game but i was looking for a more clean and optimized codebase to base my project on.
My project is a singleplayer game with no aims for multiplayer. Any help you can give me is greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Gatts

Might check this out, not sure how clean it is though...
QCide & Clean QuakeC http://tremor.quakedev.com/qcide.html
also for more tweaks and bug fixes look here

best way to learn quakeC is to run thru those bug fixes too!
