GUI is designed to be somewhat similar to MSVC for convenience.

I use Editplus, cos it has a third-party plugin for qc which colours the text usefully. It's mega. I'll try out your project editor though...

Mine has "highlighing syntaxes" aswell, but it were not implemented yet in the v01b release. However, about 5 minutes ago i uploaded the new v012b release on the site;

http://darksnow.quakedev.com/

It has generaly more feutures, some stuff has been fixed and "highlighting syntaxes" is supported - but overall the whole thing is experimental. If you download it, please give some feedback or comments/suggestions :)

Not bad.

At the moment I rarely do QC, but when I do I use MSVC itself. Not the best, but decent if you bother hooking up the custom build step, and you can double click warnings and errors and MSVC will recognize them

I used to use jEdit with a few plugins and syntax highlighting, it worked quite well except for a few nuisances (not accepting backspace while shift is pressed being the main one). I don't use jEdit anymore solely because since by last HD reformat (a few months ago) I have been avoiding installing the java vm.

Any post is a good post. It gives me an opportunity to pimp my new IDE I'm working on anyway:
