3dsMax -> FBX -> Noesis -> Quake (where did my UVs go?))
Re: 3dsMax -> FBX -> Noesis -> Quake (where did my UVs go?))
are you trying to get it to IQM or QMDL? if so, im telling you from max export to md3 (maybe md5 havnt tried it) then convert it to mdl using noesis. FBX is probably your problem.
Re: 3dsMax -> FBX -> Noesis -> Quake (where did my UVs go?))
Noesis did not support the bmp format you were attempting to use.
It does so now. Download the latest version of noesis and away you go.
Also I was told to pass on:
"you should add -rotate -90 90 0 to the commandline/advanced commands if you want to rotate your model into quake coordinates
cause it's in max coordinates right now"

Huh, I thought BMP was a universal 'flat' format. Ah well, thanks a lot for the help, and the updated version
And yeah, the orientation I was post-fixing in Qme.
The possibilities just exploded - genuine UV control in Quake (!!!)
Thanks again.
